Bulgarian exhibition concept
All photos included in the
Bulgarian photo exhibition “Faces of the
Tsvetan Chetashki was born in 1969 in the town of Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. He is a professional photographer since 1990. His photos are used in famous books, albums, exhibitions and contests. He is a winner of the golden award of Photo Vacation Contest in Primorsko in 2001 and the winner of first prize for Photo of the Year Contest in 2003. He mainly photographs natural phenomena, landscapes, towns, macropictures and act photography.
Ivan Debelushin was born on 24.11.1974 in the town of Razlog, Bulgaria. He is a chief of the Administrative Information Service Department of Razlog Municipality. Photography is his passion since his teenage years. He photographs landscapes and macropictures. He is part of the designers’ team for producing advertisement materials to promote the natural and cultural heritage of the region.
Association “International Initatives for Cooperation” (IIC) is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation established in 2003. The association is working on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, having its head office in the town of Razlog.
The mission of the association is to develop and build up the capacity of the civil society in Bulgaria through developing and implementing different projects, activities and initiatives aimed at cultural, social and economical development of the country and of the municipalities on its territory.
In order to reach its mission the association is working in the following fields:
youth work, culture, social activities, transparent administration, economic development of the region

CYPRUS
Nicos Philippou is a visual ethnographer and author of books “Off the Map” and “Coffee House Embellishments”. He lectures at the University of Nicosia and is working towards his PhD at Bristol University – Department of Archeology & Anthropology. His research interests include the study of modes of photographic representations of Cyprus, the coffee-house, the working classes and vernacular aesthetics and culture.









GREECE
Eleni Fotiou was born in Athens in 1982. She has extensively dealt with the Mediterranean region as a researcher, an NGO activist, a journalist, and a photographer. As a researcher, she has worked in the field of Euro-Mediterranean relations at the International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS), at the Mediterranean Expert Advisory Group of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, at the Hellenic Centre for European Studies (EKEM), at Turkish-Greek Studies division of the European Institute/ Istanbul Bilgi University, as well as the Editorial Consultant of “The Bridge” magazine, and as a representative of the Hellenic National Youth Council abroad.
She started photography in 2002 due to her interest in the peoples of the Mediterranean, a region which is part of her research activities as well. Since 2003, she is member of the Hellenic Photographic Society and of the International Federation of the Art of Photography (FIAP). She has participated in five group exhibitions and she has organized a personal exhibition entitled “Faces from the Mediterranean” under the auspices of the Anna Lindh Foundation sponsored by the ICBSS.












LEBANON
Rima Maroun Born 1/10/1983 is a lebanese artist who lives and works in Beirut.
After graduating with a master in photography in 2006 she co-founded the same year the''collectif Kahraba’’ a group of artists using visual and theatrical arts as a means of expression.
In 2008 she received the the Anna Lindh foundation award for dialogue through art and culture for her series of photographs entitled "Murmures..." and has been since exhibiting her work in several countries including Italy, Hungary, Syria, France and Lebanon.
She has recently taken part of the second edition of the Photoquai biennial of Paris.
In addition to the evolution of his personal work, Rima Maroun is currently involved in developing joint projects between Lebanese artist photographers as well as collaborations and exchanges with foreign artists.












MONTENEGRO
Dusko Miljanic, professional photographer
Since 1996. in the Photo Club Podgorica, where he completed Vojo Radonjic’s mentoring photography course. He is a member of international photo group 8.
His photos were printed in many domestic and international books, monographs, commercial brochures, catalogs, newspapers and magazines...
He has participated in over 50 exhibitions and showrooms photography, workshops and won several awards and recognitions in the field of photography.
Ha was part of group exhibitions in Serbia, Bosnia&Herzegovina, Slovenia, Hungary, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Albania, Greece, Slovakia, Poland, Canada, Romania, Indonesia,Lithuania, Austria, Ukraine, Moldova and Czech Republic.




Ivan Knežević. I was born in Podgorica in 1984. where I finished high school. Afterwards I enlisted the Faculty of Visual Arts, department for TV and movie production, where all gained knowledge I enhanced and implemented in projects that followed. Later on I expanded my field of functioning to one more field – videos with experimental approach and their own grammar.

Petar Vujović was born on 11.07.1986 in Cetinje, Montenegro. He earned a bachelor’s in graphic design, Fine Arts College Cetinje, Montenegro and a Master’s in Fine Arts College Cetinje, Montenegro.
