  • Participation of the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO
    in the 47th Beirut Arab International Book Fair

    October 30th - November 16th 2003


In order to diffuse information about the most recent publications thereof and those of UNESCO, ALECSO and ISESCO

the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO participated in the 47th Beirut Arab International Book Fair, which was organized, under the auspices of His Excellency the Prime Minister Mr. Rafic Hariri, by the Arab Cultural Club and in collaboration with the Lebanese Publishers Syndicate .
The stand of the Lebanese National Commission comprised a wide range of publications which could be classified under the following major headings :

- Human rights -Informatics -Racism and apartheid
-Teaching and teachers -Media -History of humanity
-Globalization -International peace -Social development
-Culture and cultural rights -Biotechnologies -Environment
-Folkloric arts and -Women - International Peace
cultural heritage

The stand of the Lebanese National Commission was visited by around 700 visitors, most of them were university professors, school teachers, students, and researchers in the fields of education, culture, science and communication.
Moreover, around 500 copies of recent publications of the National Commission and of UNESCO were distributed to those concerned.


  • Participation of the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO
    in the 46th Beirut Arab International Book Fair :Beirut, 1 - 17 / 11/ 2002

The Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO participated in the 46th Beirut Arab International Book Fair, that was held under the auspices of H.E. the Prime Minister Mr. Rafic El-Hariri, and organized by the Arab Cultural Club, in collaboration with the Lebanese Publishers Syndicates, from 1 till 17 November, 2002.
The stand of the Lebanese national Commission comprised a wide range of publications classified under the following major headings:

 

- Culture                                   Human Rights                            Children
- Education                               Cultural Diversity                       Women
- Environment                           Sciences                                     Youth

The stand of the LNCU was invited by around 350 visitors, mainly professors, students and researchers from different schools and universities and specialists in the fields of education, culture and sciences.
Around 564 copies of the National Commission publications were offered in addition to the LNCU information pamphlet.

  • Participation of the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO in the 45th Beirut Arab International Book Fair:

The Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO participated in the 45th Beirut Arab International Book Fair, which was organized, under the auspices of His Excellency the Prime Minister Mr. Rafic Hariri, by the Arab Cultural Club and in collaboration with the Lebanese Publishers Syndicates, in Expo Beirut between 2 and 8 November 2001.

The stand of the Lebanese National Commission comprised a wide range of publications which could be classified under the following major headings:

-Teaching and teachers
-Globalization
-Culture and cultural rights
-Folkloric arts and cultural heritage
-Informatics
-Media
-International peace
-Biotechnologies
-Women
-Racism and apartheid

The stand of the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO was visited by around 350 visitors, most of whom were university professors, schools teachers, students, and researchers in the fields of education, culture, science and communication. Around 800 copies of the National Commission recent publications were offered to those interested.
