Within the context of the Network support scheme, the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO, being the Head of the Lebanese Network, held, on the 11th of September, a general meeting for the Network, to discuss the provisional text of the development and action plan, as well as the Statutes for the Network.

The Head of the Network chaired the meeting and welcomed the participants among whom were the representative of Lebanon in the advisory committee of ALF, also the winner of the Euro Med award for cultural dialogue for 2008. 
    
The participants were then briefed about the main documents of the meeting:

1- The development and action plan

2- The statutes for the national network

 The two documents were discussed in detail. In addition, other issues were discussed, mainly:

- Network coordination
- Communication among the Network
- Common vision for the Network
- Proposed activities for the Network

Also discussed; the creation of an executive committee for the network, terms of reference, and the financial policy of the National Network.
